VOIP for Residential Phone

We live in a household of five people and have been using only our mobile phones for the last several years. My wife and I both have a phone and one of our children does as well. Lately we have been running into a situation where having a home phone would be beneficial.

It would be nice to leave some kids at home and go out with just adults but if no one at home has a phone that is a problem. The kids need some way to contact us or in an emergency call for help. I didn’t want to sign back up for a traditional phone plan so after some research I found a nice phone that supports voip. It is a Yealink W76P - IP DECT Phone Bundle W56H with W70 Base amazon link.

I then signed up for a voip provider that will be about $10 per month at voip.ms.

So far it has been working out great. I don’t plan on using the new phone number much but it’s nice to have a home phone again.
